Lt. Col. Dennis W. Huie began his employment with Forsyth County ES in 1985 after one year in a reserve and part-time status.  He received his Certificate of Paramedic from Forsyth Technical Community College in 1987 and received a B.S. in Emergency Medical Care from Western Carolina University in 2003. Lt. Col. Huie served as a Preceptor for students and new employees and then, after several years as an Operations Division Supervisor, assumed his present position as the Operations Officer for the EMS Division in June, 2001.

Dennis and his wife Kathy enjoy traveling and visiting with their children, Sarah, Jonathan, Chad, Brittany, and their spouses. They also enjoy spoiling their grandchildren, Michael and Samuel.
